Fall Boston Doll Teddy and Toy Show Dedham MA Oct. 11, 2009

It is fall in New England, leaves are blowing all over the place and it is Columbus Day Weekend in Massachusetts.
Better than driving all over the place to look at the different colors of fall foliage (better know as "leaf peeping"), is attending the Boston Doll Teddy and Toy Show in Dedham, Massachusetts at the Holiday Inn off I-95.
This is a long standing show that draws an attractive following of buyers and collectors from the New England area. A good strong crowd was in attendance at this show. I exhibited at this show, and brought a nice selection of Vintage Barbie dolls.
Antique dolls were set up in abundance. Dealers at this show know each other and will often bring a doll to a show that might appeal to another dealer. Friendly buying and selling is active during set up and many dolls are put out for sale up to the very last minute of the show opening.

This is doll heaven if you are an exhibitor surrounded by great dolls all during the length of the show (10:00-3:00).
And if you come as a buyer, this is doll heaven as well. Many people came to buy at this show even as far away as California.
As you can see from the photos, great dolls can be found in each of the 35 (or so) booths. The doll dealers work hard to bring their best here.
