The January Dedham Doll, Teddy Bear and Toy Show

The January Dedham Doll, Teddy Bear and Toy Show is always a fun time. The Drummer Boys Promotion show takes place at the Holiday Inn in Dedham Massachusetts three times a year, and this show is the first in the new year event January 2009. I have been an exhibitor there for several years now and find the dealers and buyers an excited group.
As an exhibitor American Beauty Dolls, I carry vintage and modern collectible dolls including Barbie. For this show, I decided to bring a large assortment of 1950's small fashion dolls, American Girl, Alexander, as well as some vintage Barbie dolls.
Mostly featuring antique, vintage and modern collectible dolls and teddy bears, there is a loyal following of dealers who all know each other and eagerly await to see what each has brought to the show. Packing boxes are exciting to see appear as dealers begin to set up the dolls on display shelving. About 30 dealers bring their best stuff proudly displaying their new "finds".
Antique teddy Bears always make an appearance at this show proudly sitting and chatting with each other.

To me, the dealer set up time is never long enough to see everything on the floor and to set up your own booth as well. How exciting it is to view all the "pretty ladies", the interesting and the unusual!

Many dealers at the show provide the buyer with a wonderful selection of some marvelous antique bisque dolls as well as antique cloth and character dolls.
As you can see from the photos, there is something for every collector or dealer here wonderfully displayed.
