Portsmouth, New Hampshire USA was the place to be on June 7, 2009 if you love dolls. The Seacoast Doll and Bear Show took place at the Frank Jones Center on Route One with about 30 dealers exhibiting including myself American Beauty Dolls. I exhibited at this show bringing vintage and collectible dolls. I also brought some Barbie as well as Silkstone Barbie.
The day was bright and sunny, but inside the exhibit hall, a doll feast was set out for eager buyers. I brought some of my American Girl Dolls and an assortment of 1950's small Fashion Dolls.
One of the most interesting one of a kind pieces of miniature folk art was this hand made to scale period Library with unbelievable detailing.
Most of the dolls, teddy bears and accessories that were for sale were modern, so a savvy shopper could by dolls created by their favorite doll artist or contemporary company such as Tonner.
Newly made clothing for American Girl Dolls could be found in many booths. So cute! The possibilities are endless with American Girl whether the clothing is for the Historical Dolls or the Girls of Today!
